Founders, Gregg Deinhart and Stephan Schlagenhauff, USPTA and Easitennis certified instructors, combined their 40+ years of tennis experience to establish FSTA;  at its core, a tennis school whose hallmarks of small class size and high-quality, supportive instruction are dedicated to creating an optimal learning environment.  Deinhart and Schlagenhauff met in 1988 as tennis instructors for the Town of Amherst (NY) Recreation Department, a top-notch municipal program in which Deinhart served as supervisor from 1985 to 1991. During this time, the program grew from 400 to 1,500+ students and became a model for other public programs across Western New York.
